Veterinarians at the University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine have announced plans to conduct the first clinical trial of an experimental drug that has shown promise in treating horses stricken with laminitis.  

The AAEP Foundation study of pasture- and endocrinopathy-associated laminitis (PEAL) in horses is seeking information from vets on new laminitis cases. Please have your vet contact them. It’s important that we get the handle on this dreaded disease.
