Horse Doctor: Are paved roads hard on horses' feet? Reading Eagle I always had borium on my horse Jake's shoes when I had him boarded at a place where we sometimes used roads to get to the trails. Back in the day, the roads were packed dirt. This was ideal for horses to get a good grip and not damage their hooves. |
