I have heard you can use cattle tags designed for fly control for horses, by braiding them into their manes. I have minis’ and worried about any bad sid effects.

I have not tried the cow tag on a mini, but have done it often for normal sized horses.  I would just ask your vet or a vet that deals with minis, but would think if you use can use a fly spray with similar ingredients on them now, it should work as long as you don’t overdo the dosage. So check with a vet and go from there.
